Install Maya on a Windows OS

The installation, activation, and registration of the Maya software on a Windows OS is identical to the installation and registration of other Autodesk software products running on a Windows OS.

Important: Before you choose to install the Maya software product, verify your system meets the minimum system requirements and your hardware meets the minimum requirements to run Maya.

Note: The default installation path for the Maya software product on a Windows OS is: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2014.

To install Maya in a Simplified Chinese or Japanese Environment, follow the instructions in the installer.

Important: If you install Maya to a custom location, ensure that the path does not include any Chinese or Japanese double‐byte characters.
