Workflow: Create and Use a Revit Deployment

Use the following process to create and use a deployment to install Revit software on multiple computers across a network. Before you begin, review the steps and perform preliminary tasks.
  1. Determine your organization's requirements for Revit deployments.
  2. Based on your answers to those questions, perform preliminary tasks, such as preparing a custom Revit.ini file or planning your Revit Server implementation.
  3. Check deployment readiness.
  4. Determine the installation type.
  5. If you are using network licensing, determine the license server model.
  6. Create a network share.
  7. Create a deployment.

  8. Test the deployment by using it to install the software on one or more target computers.

Make sure that all settings, features, and functionality operate as intended.

  9. Direct users to the administrative image, or use an alternative distribution method.
