Assign virtual parts

Adds and removes virtual parts from one or more harness objects.

Access:

In an active harness assembly, click Cable and Harness tab Create panel Assign Virtual Parts .

	Selects one or more harness objects to which to assign the virtual part. When multiple objects are selected, an occurrence of the virtual part is created for each selected object. Note: It is recommended that you assign terminals, seals, and plugs to a single harness object.
Selected	Lists the number of harness objects selected to assign a virtual part.
Type	Selects the type of virtual part, such as terminal or loom. Available types will vary depending on the objects selected. Click the arrow to select from the list.
Category	Selects the category in which the desired virtual part is located (optional). The last selection becomes the new default. Click the arrow to select from the list.
Name	Selects the name of the appropriate virtual part in the Cable & Harness Library. The last selection becomes the new default. Click the arrow to select from the list.
Add	Assigns the virtual part to the selected objects.
Delete	Removes the highlighted objects from the virtual parts list.
Virtual part list	Lists the virtual parts assigned to the selected objects along with their type, category, and name. Click an item in the list and click Delete to remove it from the list.
