Create parts lists in GOST drawings

Parts lists are automatically created from information in the drawing. The Parts List dialog box approximates the way the parts list looks on paper. Use the commands in the dialog box to export the information, change the layout, and more.

To create a parts list, complete the following steps:

  1. On the ribbon, click Annotate (ESKD) tabTable panelParts List. The Parts List dialog box appears.
  2. Change the parts list, if necessary. See the Reference topic for more information about the commands on the dialog box.
  3. Export parts list to Excel for electronic exchange and printing.
  4. Click OK to accept the changes and close the dialog box.

Place parts list on drawing

  1. From the Parts List dialog box, click Place on Drawing. The Parts List dialog box closes and the drawing sheet is visible. Your cursor has a box attached representing the parts list.
  2. Move your cursor and the square to the location on the drawing where you want to place the parts list.
  3. Click the mouse button to place the parts list in the selected location.

Print parts list

  1. From the Parts List dialog box toolbar, click Print. The Parts List: Print dialog box appears.
  2. In the Name field, select the appropriate printer.
  3. To change the print properties such as paper size, paper orientation, and more, click Properties to display the printer properties dialog box. For more information about setting the printer properties, click Help in the dialog box.
  4. In the Print Range frame, select the pages you want to print.
  5. In the Settings frame, select the number of copies you want to print.
  6. In the Scale frame, select how you want to place the parts list on the page. If you select Custom, define the scale.
Note: To see how the parts list fits on a page, click Preview.

Print parts list to file

File formats include Adobe PDF, DWF Writer, and any of the Microsoft document writers.

  1. From the Parts List dialog box toolbar, click Print. The Print dialog box appears.
  2. In the Name field, select the appropriate document format.
  3. Continue from step three in the Print parts list directions.

Add Custom Category

  1. In the Parts List, right-click a category row. A context menu appears.
  2. From the context menu, click Add Category.

Add Custom Parts

The following procedures are related to working with custom parts in the parts list only. For more information about custom parts in the drawing, see Inventor help.

To add a custom part to the parts list, complete the following steps:

  1. From the parts list, click Insert Row. A new row is added to the bottom of the parts list.
  2. In the new row, add the custom parts list information, including the quantity, description, and more.
  3. Click OK or continue working in the parts list.

Edit Custom Part

To edit the custom part, click the cell that you want to change and type the new information. Click OK to save the change or continue working in the parts list.
