Access: | |
---|---|
On the Mold Layout tab, click Cooling Channel. |
Linear | Creates a cooling channel on a face with two linear edges as references.
|
From Sketch | This option requires a cooling sketch. You can also select a face as the start plane of the cooling channel.
|
From Channel | This option requires an existing cooling channel.
|
Dimensions are specified in the Modify dialog according to the type of cooling channel that has been selected. Click to open the dialog. Set dimensions in the dialog. | |
Counterbore | Cooling channel has a specified counterbore diameter and counterbore depth at the start. |
Pipe Thread | Cooling channel has a specified pipe thread at the start. |
Over Drill | Cooling channel has an over drill at the termination end. |
Opposite Pipe Thread | Cooling channel has a specified pipe thread at the termination end. |
Opposite Counterbore | Cooling channel has a specified counterbore diameter and counterbore depth at the termination end. |
Sets a Flat or an Angle point for drill points.
Use one of the following methods to select angled points:
The positive direction of the angle is measured from the cooling channel axis, in a counterclockwise direction, to the normal of the planar face.
Select one of the following termination types:
Distance | Uses a positive value to specify the length of the cooling channel. In the graphics window, click the arrow to select the value of the length. |
To | Terminates a cooling channel at the planar surface or the face that has been specified. |
Through All | Extends a cooling channel from the start face to the end face in the mold base. |
Use the following buttons to specify additional information for the termination of the cooling channel:
To Next | Terminate the cooling channel on the next surface or face. Available when using the To termination option. |
To Previous | Terminate the cooling channel on the previous surface or face. Available when using the To termination option. |
