Link Texture Transforms

Propogates all changes to the Position, Scale, and Repeat settings of this attribute to all other attributes within the material that use a texture.

Position

Controls the coordinates and rotation of the map.

  • Offset Moves the starting point of the map along the X or Y axis.
  • Link when active, ensures the ratio between vertical and horizontal is maintained.
  • Rotation Rotates the map from 180 degrees to (-180) degrees. Rotation is not available for spherical and cylindrical mapping.
Scale

Controls the scaling of the maps on materials.

  • Sample Size Specifies the vertical or horizontal scaling for procedural maps on materials. This setting is only available on Checker, Gradient, and Tiles.
  • Link when active, ensures the ratio between vertical and horizontal is maintained.
Repeat

Controls the creation and modification of a map pattern.

  • Horizontal Adjusts the tiling of the map along the X axis.
  • Vertical Adjusts the tiling of the map along the Y axis.

Tile Tiles the map within the assigned area of the material.

None Specifies no modifications to the map pattern.

Visual styles and texture property edits

Shaded visual styles do not use all texture properties for display. When you edit an unused texture property, the canvas display does not change to show the modification. To see the change, switch to the Realistic visual style, and disable ray tracing. For more information about which properties display with Shaded visual styles, see Appearance Editor dialog box .
