Mirror and pattern contour roll

Contour roll features are able to participate in subsequent mirror or pattern features. In the previous illustration:

  1. A contour roll feature is patterned in a radial pattern with four total occurrences.
  2. A straight contour flange segment is added to the model and a radial pattern is created with three total occurrences.
  3. A short, straight contour flange segment is added. This segment does not reach the mid-plane which passes through the radial pattern axis.
  4. The short contour flange segment is mirrored and joins the exposed detail face of the final occurrence of the original contour roll pattern element.
  5. The mirror operation leaves a gap between the two short contour flange segments allowing:
  6. The entire model to be unfolded flat. The flat pattern shows both bend and roll centerlines.
