Import or export Application Options settings

You can import a set of application options from a valid .xml file, including default options, and options that are AutoCAD related. You can export a set of application option settings to a valid .xml file.

1. Click Options.
2. At the bottom of the Application Options dialog box, click Import, or Export.
3. Import In the Open dialog box, navigate to an .xml file, and click Open.

   Note: It is not necessary to include every application option in your .xml file. A partial list of application options is acceptable for Application Options settings import.

   • Use AutoCAD Related Settings Provides a feel similar to AutoCAD settings.
   • Use Inventor Settings The default Application Options settings install.
   Export In the Save Copy As dialog box, specify the name of the .xml file, and click OK.

   Note: The export operation uses the current settings in Application Options settings, even if you did not yet apply them.
