Mirror Components: Status dialog box

Access:

Ribbon: Assemble tab Pattern panel Mirror

Components
Selects components to mirror.
Select a component in the graphics window or browser. All child components are automatically included.
Mirror Plane
Specifies a work plane or planar face as the mirror plane.
Status
Use the Status buttons at the top of the dialog box to change the status of all selected components. Click a status icon for an individual component to change the component status.
Note: When the mirror status of a parent component changes, all children automatically inherit the parent status.
Mirror Creates a mirrored component and saves it in a new file.
Reuse Adds a component instance in the current or a new assembly file.

Components marked bold are not suitable for reusing. A component must be symmetric according to its current symmetric plane to be suitable for reuse. Asymmetric reused components can be positioned incorrectly in the resulting model.

You can apply the enhanced object orientation for reused components. Right-click the component and select the Symmetric Plane. The orientation of the component is changed with respect to the plane.

Exclude Excludes the component from the mirror operation.
Mixed Indicates that child components are either reused or excluded.
Click to copy a list of components not suitable for reusing to the clipboard.
Next Opens the Mirror Components: File Names dialog box.
