Every Autodesk Inventor file has a set of properties called iProperties. Use iProperties to track and manage files, create reports, and update a bill of materials, parts lists, title blocks, and other information automatically. Some iProperties are automatically set, but you can decide which other properties to use.

Right-click the file name in the Autodesk Inventor or Design Assistant browser or Windows Explorer, and select iProperties. |

You can create and edit expressions for text type iProperties in the Properties dialog box. An expression contains a combination of custom texts and Parameter and iProperty names enclosed by brackets. The Parameter and iProperty names are substituted by the Parameter and iProperty value, when the expression is evaluated.
