To rename conduit part files, you must enable the Prompt for Conduit File Names option for the master runs assembly. In the Conduit File Names dialog box, you can determine the new file names for conduit parts.
- Ensure you are in any of the following workflows so that the Conduit File Names dialog box is displayed:
- After the Populate Route command is applied, click OK in the Populate Routes dialog box to continue.
- You are saving the top assembly, master runs assembly, run, hose assembly, or conduit part the first time, for instance, when the Populate Route command is already applied but you have clicked Cancel in the Conduit File Names dialog box.
- In the Conduit File Names, enter the new file names or accept the default. Notice the visual feedback that indicates whether the file name is valid:
Cyan: Indicates the active row you are currently editing.
White: Indicates the new file name is valid.
Yellow: Indicates the file name duplicates another conduit part in the File Name list.
Red: Indicates the file name duplicates an existing file in the parent location.
- Click OK.
Note: In the copy and reuse workflow, conduit parts are listed in the Make Adaptive dialog box together with all
exclusive tube and pipe components
and are available to rename. Follow the copy and reuse workflow to rename conduit part files to meet the design needs.
