You can link to selected parameters from any combination of part, sheet metal, assembly, or weldment model types. The selected parameters do not have to be exported previously.
Note: Only numeric parameters can be linked or exported.
- Either select a linked file or, from the Parameters dialog box, right-click a parameter folder title of an already-linked model and select Edit Folder.
- In the Link Parameters dialog box, use the Status buttons at the top to quickly change the status of all selected parameters quickly. You also can click a status icon next to an individual parameter and toggle the status options.
Links the selected parameters from the linked file. Includes the comments from the linked parameters. 
Excludes the selected parameters from linking. Note: If you select a non-exported parameter for linking, a confirmation message appears when you close the Link Parameters dialog box notifying you that the base file marks the parameter for export. - If desired, select the Show All Parameters check box to display both non-exported and exported parameters in the list. A hand
icon identifies exported parameters.
