Most Autodesk Inventor View operations are available on the toolbars, the browser, or context menus.
You can change the visibility of toolbars and browsers. Context (right-click) menus are always available. They provide options specific to the active operation or the selected element.
Display or hide browser and toolbars in View window
- On the main menu, click View
Toolbar.
- Select a toolbar name to display the toolbar in the window. To hide a toolbar, clear the check mark.
Use context menus in graphics area
Most of the options on the View toolbars and menus are also available on context menus.
- Right-click an element to display the context menu.
- Click an option:
- Previous Returns to the previous view.
- Next Returns to the next view.
- Rotate Rotates the part about an arc.
- Pan Pans the current view.
- Zoom Zooms the current view.
- Zoom Window Zooms into the window area.
- Zoom All Zooms to the extents of the entity.
Note: In the graphics area, two context menus are available: one for part or assembly files, and one for drawings. These menus are the same, except that the Rotate option is not available for drawings.
Use context menus in browser
Most of the options on the Autodesk Inventor View toolbars and menus are also available from context menus.
- Click an element to highlight it in the browser.
- Right-click to display the context menu or right-click in the browser (without first selecting a file).
- Select the desired option:
- Open: Opens the selected item in the graphics window.
- Find in Window: Zooms into and centers the selected item in the graphics window.
- Properties: Sets properties for the selected item in the Properties dialog box.
- Activate: Activates a sheet. The activated sheet is highlighted, while all other sheets are shaded in the browser.
