JT File Save As Options dialog box

Sets the options for the export of Autodesk Inventor data to a JT file.

Access:
 
  1. In the Export Files task dialog box, select a file you have listed for export.
  2. In the Output File Name Column, Click . In the Save As dialog box, in Save As Type, select the file extension JT files(*.jt).
  3. Click Save.
  4. In the Export Files dialog box, click Options
Level of Detail
  • Use Configuration File Select to specify the settings of an external configuration file for LODs for files to export.
  • Use Configuration File edit box Enter the path and file name of a configuration file. Displays the name of the selected configuration file. Available when Use Configuration File is selected.
  • Use Configuration File browse command Opens the Select JT Configuration File dialog so you can browse to a file. Available when Use Configuration File is selected.

Object Types to Export

Provides a selection list of object types to export:
  • Work Planes
  • Work Axes
  • Work Points
  • Sketches

Object types selections are not available when XT Brep or Facets Only is selected

Output

Provides a selection list of output types for the export files:

Brep and Facets Becomes unselected when Brep Only or Facets Only is selected.

Brep Only- Becomes unselected when Brep and Facets or Facets Only is selected.

Facets Only Becomes unselected when Brep and Facets or Brep Only is selected.

Brep Type - XT Brep Specifies the XT Brep type to use for the exported file. Becomes unselected when JT Brep is selected.

Brep Type JT Brep Specifies the JT Brep type to use for the exported file. Becomes unselected when XT Brep is selected

Version

Specifies a file format to apply to the exported file. Available versions are 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 9.0, 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, and 9.4

Structure Specifies a structure type to apply to the exported file. Available structures are MONOLITHIC, PER_PART, and FULL_SHATTER. Available only for export of assemblies.
OK Validates the selected file exists, accepts the settings, and closes the dialog box. Not available if the Use Configuration File check box is selected and the edit box is blank.
