Place Fitting

Picks up a fitting from your project work space to place into the active run. If you select a fitting in a folder that is not part of the active project, you must resolve its links. We strongly recommend that you add the paths for all files to the project before working on them.

Access:

With a run active, click Pipe Run tab Route panel Place Fitting .

Look in	Shows the path of the active directory and specifies the location to pick up the fitting.
Locations	Shows file locations defined in the active project file. A tooltip shows the path. Click a location to change to the folder. The folder tree and files are listed in the main window of the dialog box.
File name	Specifies the file name of the fitting to place.
Files of type	Filters file list to include only files of a specific type. Only the .ipt file type is available for the Place Fitting command.
Find	Opens the Find: Autodesk Inventor Files dialog box so you can search for files based on file properties.
Preview	Displays the preview image when a fitting is selected.
Open	Opens the selected the file to continue to place the fitting.
Cancel	Cancels the file open operation and closes the dialog box.
