Create a presentation template

All new presentation files are created with a template. You can create your own templates and add them to the templates provided by Autodesk Inventor.

1. Create a presentation, using an existing template.
2. Set the properties for the file. Use Display Appearance Settings in the Document Settings dialog box to specify dataset specific scene elements such as shadows and lighting style.
3. Save the file in the Autodesk\Inventor [version]\Templates folder or a subfolder of Templates. A presentation file automatically becomes a template when it is saved to the Templates folder.

Note: The file standard.ipn in the Templates folder is the default presentation template. To replace the default template, remove standard.ipn and replace it with a template that has the same name.
