Pastes copied AutoCAD data from the clipboard to an Autodesk Inventor 2D sketch, and specifies preferences.
Access
On the ribbon, click
3D Model tab
Sketch panel
Create 2D Sketch
. Right-click in the sketch, and select Paste Options. Available only if AutoCAD data is on the clipboard.
- Import File Units

Specifies the units for the copied data.
Detected Units Uses the units specified in the AutoCAD file.
Specify Units Changes the scale using new units. Click the arrow to select from the list.
- Constrain End Points

When selected, applies endpoint constraints automatically. Clear the check box to constrain endpoints manually.
- Apply geometric constraints

When selected, fully constrains the sketch automatically. Clear the check box to constrain the sketch manually.
- Import parametric constraints

When selected, translates AutoCAD 2D parametric constraints to your sketch.
- AutoCAD Blocks to Inventor Blocks

When selected, pastes AutoCAD block as an Inventor sketch block. If not selected, pasts AutoCAD block as primitive geometry.
