Create a project

Learn how to create a new project.

You can use projects to store related models and reports together. Models saved in a project are called studies . A study contains one analysis, under one set of processing conditions, of one model.

You may wish to investigate the same model under different processing conditions, with different materials, or filled from different injection locations. Alternatively, can store related or mating parts together. Each of these variations is a different study.

Before you can import a model for an analysis, create a project.

1. Click (Get Started tab > Launch panel > New Project).
2. Enter Getting Started for the Project Name.
3. Click OK.
