Learn how to select a material from your personal database for use in an analysis.
- Click
. The Analysis Wizard dialog appears with the Material tab selected.
- Click the Specific material control button.
- In the Manufacturer text box type Our. The textbox has now automatically filled in

, the name of your personal database created in the previous task.
- Expand the Trade name list to display the trade names of the materials in your database.
- Select
Makrolon 3158
and click Next. The Process Settings tab shows that the
Melt Temperature
to be used for the analysis is
300
°C.
- Click Back. The Material tab is displayed.
Our Material
, your personal database, is still listed in the Manufacturer textbox.
- Select
Makrolon 3158 - plus 5
from the Trade name list and click Next. The
Melt temperature
for this material is now
305
°C.
- Click Finish (if prompted, create a copy of the study). The Study Tasks pane now shows
Makrolon 3158 - plus 5: Bayer MaterialScience
as the material that will be used in subsequent analyses.
You can work with databases for coolants and mold materials by following the same procedures.
