Cooling is insufficient in positive or negative z direction

About this result

The Warp result indicates this area of the part may have severe warpage problems. The out-of-plane deflection are close to or exceed the specified nominal maximum deflection (NMD) value due to cooling.

What to do next

When the out-of-plane deflection exceeds the specified nominal maximum deflection (NMD) value due to cooling, there are two main ways to influence differential cooling of your part:

Changing the cooling line layout
It may be useful to run two additional Cool analyses with the coolant inlet temperatures at, for example, plus and minus 10°F (5°C) with respect to the original inlet temperature used. The results from the Cool analyses can then give you some idea of the sensitivity of the part to variations in coolant temperature.
Using mold inserts

Add extra cooling lines in troublesome regions or use mold inserts to reduce variations in cooling rates across the part.

Note: Mold insert analysis is only available in Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight.
