Input the Process Settings

In this task, you use the input the coolant inlet parameters and the process settings plus, run the analysis.

1. With the Select tool from the Navigation Toolbar, select on of the coolant inlets.

   

2. Right click and select Properties.

3. Set the Coolant inlet temperature to 40° C, and Click OK.

   

4. Click (Home > Molding Process Setup > Process Settings).

   

5. Ensure that the Melt temperature is 250°C.

6. Ensure that the Mold-open time is 5 seconds.

7. Set the Injection + Packing + Cooling time to 10 seconds.

8. Ensure that the Mold-close time before injection is 0 seconds.

9. Set the Mold temperature options to Averaged within cycle.

10. Click OK.

11. Click (Home > Analysis > Start Analysis).

    The analysis takes 10 - 25 minutes to run.

12. When the analysis is finished, click Logs to close the Logs panel.
