In-Place Walls Overview

Use the In-Place Wall tool to create a wall that you design manually using unique geometry that is not possible with the other Wall tools.

In-place walls are created using the same free-form geometry as component families. They are assigned to the Wall category so they are treated as walls when you use certain features such as visibility/graphics control, schedules, and room bounding. However, in-place walls do not support many features of system wall families, including wall join controls, constraints, wall layers, and wall types.
