Exporting to SAT

  1. Click ExportCAD Formats (ACIS (SAT)).
  2. On the Views/Sheets tab of the SAT Export Settings dialog, determine which views and sheets are to be exported to the SAT file.
If you want to export… Then…
    a single view for Export, select <Current View/Sheet Only>.
multiple views and sheets for Export, select <In session view/sheet set>, and then select the views and sheets to export (see Creating View and Sheet Sets).
  3. If you are ready to export, click Next. (Or click Save Set & Close to save the current export settings and close the dialog without exporting.)
  4. In the Export CAD Formats dialog, navigate to the target folder for the exported files.
  5. For Naming, select an option for the automatically generated file name.
  6. Click OK.

Revit exports the selected views and sheets to SAT files and places them in the target folder.

Note: Solid geometry in a 3D view always exports to SAT as ACIS solids.
