Energy Analysis using Conceptual Masses - Enable the Energy Model

Select this option to enable the energy analytical model using conceptual masses. This option is only available in Conceptual Mass mode.

Use the Energy Model settings to define parameters for the simulation. To run the simulation, display a 3D view of the model, and click Analyze tabEnergy Analysis panel Run Energy Simulation.

This option is not available in Building Element mode. When you run a simulation in building element mode, the energy analytical model is automatically generated. For more information, see Energy Analysis using Building Elements - Quick Start.

To enable a conceptual mass energy analytical model

1. Click Analyze tabEnergy Analysis panel Use Conceptual Mass Mode.
2. Click Analyze tabEnergy Analysis panel Enable Energy Model.

   Mass faces are displayed, including any glazing and shades that have been specified.
