When the Pipe or Pipe Placeholder tool is selected, the Modify | Place Pipe tab provides the following options for placing piping:
Justification: opens the Justification Setting dialog where you can specify Horizontal Justification, Horizontal Offset, and Vertical Justification for the pipe.
Note: This options is not available when the Pipe Placeholder tool is selected.
Automatically Connect: lets you automatically connect to the snaps on a component when starting or ending a pipe segment. This is useful for connecting segments at different elevations. However, when drawing pipe along the same path as another pipe at a different offset, clear Automatically Connect to avoid making an unintentional connection.
Inherit Elevation: inherits the elevation of the element being snapped to.
Inherit Size: inherits the size of the element being snapped to.
Slope Off: draws pipe without slope.
Slope Up: draws pipe with slope up.
Slope Down: draws pipe with slope down.
Slope Value: specifies a slope value for drawing sloped pipe when Slope Up or Slope Down are enabled.
Show Slope Tooltip: displays slope information while drawing sloped pipe.
Ignore Slope to Connect: controls whether sloped pipe connects using the current slope value or connects directly regardless of the slope value.
Tag on Placement: applies the default annotation tag to a piping segment when it is placed in the view.
