In Revit, most views of the building model show elements from the model. If you want to draft details that are not based on the building information model, use a drafting view.
Create an empty drafting view. | Create a drafting view that is not associated with the parametric building model. | |
Draft the details. |
Use detailing tools to draw the desired details. |

Link a callout to the drafting view. | Create one or more callouts in other views to point to the drafting view. |
