To insert a formula with the Insert function dialog

Use this procedure to insert a formula with the Insert function dialog.

1. Open a project in Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional.
2. Launch the Microsoft Excel software.
3. Place the cursor in the cell where you want to enter the formula.
4. Click Formulas tab Function library panel Insert Function.

   Alternatively click Insert Function icon from the Formula Bar.

   The Insert Function dialog opens.

5. Select the Robot Structural Analysis category.
6. Select a function (formula).
   Tip: For a list of available formulas, see Formula list.
7. Click OK.

   The Function Arguments dialog opens.

8. Specify arguments in the formula.
   Note: The available arguments depends on the selected formula. As you click in the text box for each formula argument, the dialog will give you a description of what is expected for that particular argument.
9. Click OK.
