The General tab of the Definition of calculation parameters dialog for ACI 318/95 code or ACI 318/95 metric code:
Concrete parameters are defined in two ways:
- When the As in a structure model option is selected, needed material parameters are assigned from data used for static calculations of structures.
- Defining fc' value of concrete resistance.
If a lightweight concrete is used, Lightweight concrete should be selected and sand percentage should be determined.
Additional parameters are defined in this dialog.
- Exposure: exterior or interior.
- Seismic risk: low, medium, high.
At the bottom of the dialog box, Reinforcement control (ACI 318-95 10.6) checks the reinforcement for cracking. When Use members according to ASTM is selected, reinforcing bars are defined by types in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials member types, otherwise, reinforcing bars will be defined by their diameters.
