You can use the Results branch to perform several actions:
- Manage view settings files
- Control part appearance
- List visualization entities (Planes, Iso surfaces, Traces, etc.)
- Toggle the appearance of suppressed parts
Top-Level Results Branch
View Settings File
Right click on the Results branch to open or save View Settings files. You can also manage View Settings files from the View tab.
Warning icon
If a setting is changed after a scenario is run, the warning appears on the Results branch.
This means that the results do not match the settings in the scenario. To resolve the inconsistency, run the scenario again with the new settings.
Materials Branch (Part Appearance)
You can use the Materials Branch to control the appearance of parts while reviewing results.
To control part appearance
- Right-click on the part and select the appearance option.
To toggle part visibility
- Check or uncheck the box adjacent to the part branch.
Set Transparency
- The Set Transparency option is available for parts and materials that are displayed as transparent. To make the part harder to see through, drag the slider to the left, toward 0%. To make the part easier to see through, drag the slider to the right, toward 100%.
Visualization Entities
Cutting planes, iso surfaces, and summary points are listed as sub branches. These branches do not support interaction, so they are for informational purposes only.
Viewing Suppressed Parts
Suppressed parts are excluded from the simulation. When results are displayed, suppressed parts appear shaded with a uniform color:
By default, suppressed parts are notvisible when you first enter Results. To show them, open the Design Study bar, and expand the Materials branch of the Results branch. Check the box adjacent to each part you want to display.
You can control visibility and appearance in the same manner as active parts.
There are some limitations for suppressed parts:
- Neither the mesh nor results can be displayed on suppressed parts.
- Individual surfaces of a suppressed part cannot be hidden.
