The information on this page applies to the following analysis types except where indicated:
Mechanical Event Simulation (MES)
Static Stress with Nonlinear Material Models
By default, only the results at the specified time steps will be available in the Results environment. For example, if an event is analyzed for 1 second with a capture rate of 100 steps/second, there will be 100 sets of results available in the Results environment. If during the analysis, the time step has to be reduced for convergence, the results of the intermediate steps will not be available in the Results environment. Activating the Output results of all time steps check box in the Output tab of the Analysis Parameters dialog will make the results from these steps available in the Results environment. This will result in larger result files.
The reaction forces at the boundary conditions, prescribed displacements, impact planes, and surface to surface contact can be calculated. To have the reaction forces calculated, activate the Output reaction forces checkbox. The results will be available in the Results environment.
To view the contact force generated by the surface-to-surface contact in the Results environment, activate the Nodal reaction forces due to contact checkbox.
If there are actuator elements present in the model, the forces in these elements can be calculated. To have the actuator forces calculated, activate the Equivalent actuator induced forces checkbox.
