Open the Model

1. Click Open on the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT).
   • In the Open dialog box, navigate to your tutorial models folder.
   • Select Autodesk Simulation Archive (*.ach) in the Autodesk Simulation Files section of the Files of type pull-down menu. 
   • Select the file, Piston.ach, and  click Open.
2. Navigate to the folder to which you want the model files extracted. The default is the same folder where the archive file is located.
   • Click OK to extract the files. The model  opens in the FEA Editor environment, as shown below. Note that  

Note: The analysis type has already been specified as Nonlinear: MES with Nonlinear Material Models. This is the analysis type to be run in the subsequent Piston Mechanical Event Simulation tutorial.
