Select Vault Location

Use the Select Vault Location command to specify a folder to check files into the vault for the first time.

Note: You must save a file before you can select a vault location and check in a file.

Access:

Use one of the following methods to check the contents of a folder into a vault:

  • On the Autodesk Vault ribbon, click Check In.
  • At the command line type vltcheckin and press Enter.
Note: You must be logged into the vault to check files into the vault.

Select a Vault folder

Displays the current folder structure. Select an existing folder to check files into the vault or create a new folder.

New Folder

Creates a new folder under the current selected directory.

You can also create folders in Autodesk Vault.

OK

Completes the select folder operation. The Check In dialog box is displayed.

Cancel

Cancels the selected folder operation and closes the dialog box.

Vault Office

  1. Select an existing location from the list of vault folders or click New Folder to create a new vault folder.
  2. Click OK.

The file is copied from the current location on your hard disk to the corresponding location in the working directory. You can optionally choose to delete the original file. This prevents having two copies of the same file on different locations on your computer.
