The Vault File Server is a simple file store management system that allows you to move and configure a file store. Sometimes in multi-site environments a latency can occur when the Autodesk Data Management Server (ADMS) communicates with SQL. To reduce this latency, the File Server talks directly to the ADMS instead. Similarly, the Vault client(s) communicate directly with the ADMS for metadata and the File Server for file upload/download events, reducing the time it takes to update the file store.
Verify that your operating systems and hardware meet the requirements before running the Autodesk Vault File Server.
