- Open Connectivity.Product.exe.config in a text editor such as Windows Notepad.

Set the Effectivity Expiration Date
- From the New Effective Date calendar, select a date to make the items effective.
The effectivity state of an item with a future effective date is set to Pending.
- If you have enabled the enableEffectivityEndDate setting in the Connectivity.Product.exe config file, then you can specify an expiration date. From the New Expiration Date calendar, select a date to make the items expire or click Never Expire to make the items have no expiration date.
- If you set an expiration date, the item ceases to be effective on that date and the previously released item is effective unless a new revision has been or is made to supersede it.
- You cannot set an item's effectivity to expire on a given date if there is no previously released item to revert to.
- The current revision of any item can be set to a specific effectivity start and end date. If a revision does not have an effectivity end date, then the item's effectivity is never set to Expired.
- Click OK.
