In this tutorial, you will conduct a static stress analysis of the loading on a pin joint assembly used as a hydraulic cylinder mount. We will use two types of contact between parts--bonded and surface contact. A rod eye is connected to a clevis with a pin joint and a retainer assembly. A tensile force of 1500 lbf is applied to the rod eye. The objective is to determine the displacement of the pin, the von Mises stress throughout the assembly, and contact forces.
