Using this option, you can define floor slabs and raft foundations in both 3D and 2D views of a structure model. Slabs and raft foundations are inserted in horizontal plans of an active story (in the top view).
To begin defining the floor slab / raft foundation, open the Slab Definition dialog and select the option from:
- Menu: Formwork Drawings > Define > Slab [Raft foundation]
- Ribbon: ASD - Model > Elements > Slab [Raft foundation]
- Toolbar: Define > (Slab)
or (Raft foundation)
- Command line: RBCX_DEF_SLAB (RBCX_DEF_SLAB_FOUNDATION).
Note: When you copy a story, floor slabs are not copied to higher stories.
Use the tabs on the Slab Definition dialog to define parameters:
For Priority enter a value that defines the priority of interpenetration (cutting to fit) of structure elements that overlap with each other.
Use the icons on the right to select a mode of graphic definition for the slab / raft foundation.
- Points
- specify successive points that define the geometry of the slab / raft foundation
- Select
- convert a closed polyline to the contour of the slab / raft foundation
- Diagonal
- specify a diagonal, which then defines a rectangle. The slab / raft foundation will be defined on a contour of the rectangle
- Internal point
- specify an internal point of a closed contour
- Click
(Inherit properties) located in the bottom right corner to inherit parameters from a previously defined slab.
