On the Section tab of the Beam: definition dialog, you can define parameters of a beam cross-section.
Specify parameters for each type of beam cross-section:
center line
upper line
lower line

If World UCS is not selected, angle values on the selection list refer to the orientation of an inclined plane. If World UCS is selected, angle values on the selection list refer to directions of axes of the global coordinate system (see the examples below).
When World UCS is not selected, and the angle is equal to 0:
After selecting World UCS, an angle of plane inclination is calculated on the selection list (in this case, 17 degrees) for the same position of the cross-section:
When the angle is equal to 0 and World UCS is selected, the position of the beam cross-section changes:
