Using this option, you can define columns in both 3D and 2D views of a structure model. Individual columns are inserted in horizontal plans of a given story (in the top view).
To begin defining a column, open the Column: definition dialog from:
- Menu: Formwork Drawings menu > Define > Column
- Ribbon: ASD - Model > Elements > Column
- Toolbar: Define > Column
- Command line: RBCX_DEF_COL.
Use the tabs on the Column: definition dialog to define parameters:
For Priority enter a value that defines the priority of interpenetration (cutting to fit) of structure elements that overlap with each other.
Use the icons on the right to select a mode of graphic definition for the column:
- Insert
- specify a point in a plan of a building story, and select the angle of section rotation
- Insert + rotate
- specify a point in a plan of a building story, and graphically define the rotation angle of the column cross-section. Define the angle by selecting a point in the direction in which the column will be facing
- Select
- use this to convert selected drawing objects (rectangle, circle, and closed polyline) to a section and a column
- Insert group
- specify 2 points of a rectangular region; a column with the specified parameters will be defined at all workframe points positioned inside that region
- Inherit properties
- use this to inherit parameters from a previously defined column.
