Lamp Parameters Rollout

Provides controls for lamp column objects.

In general, when you use the Object Placement Style Editor to place a series of parametric objects in a single SOS element, the objects are linked as instances. This means that changing any of the following parameters affects all objects in the set. To unlink such instances, please refer to the topic Parameter Instancing.

Post Material Channel
By default, Civil View parametric lamp columns use the CivilViewObjects material. This list lets you choose which material channel within this material should be used to represent the surface of the column itself.

Post Dimensions group

Post Height
The height of the lamp column object.
Upper Diameter / Lower Diameter
The tube diameter of the post both above and below the tapered portion.
Taper Start Height / Taper Length
The position and height of the tapered portion of the column.
Ground Depth
The depth of the lamp column object below ground.
Note: For clarity, this portion of the object is not displayed in wireframe viewports.

Overhang Arm Parameters group

Left Arm / Right Arm
When on, the corresponding arm of the lamp column appears.

You can change a parametric lamp column from single- to double-armed or vice versa at any time.

Bend Radius
The tube bend radius between the pole and the arm of the lamp column.
Bend Angle
The angle of the bend between the pole and the arm of the lamp column.
Arm Length
The length of the lamp column arms.

Lamp Unit Parameters group

Lamp On
When on, the lamp appears to be illuminated. No light is actually cast, but the light source uses self illumination so it appears to be brighter.
Lamp Size (X/Y)
Set the width and length of the lamp units at the end of the lamp column arms.

Parameter Instancing group

Allows the parameters of a collection of objects of the same basic type to be shared or instanced.

See Parameter Instancing for further details.
