The process for determining appropriate initial values to use for conducting an Energy-Based Degradation analysis using Simulation Composite Analysis was outlined in the Determine Initial Fracture Energy Values section. This procedure results in accurate simulation results for the finite element analyses conducted at Autodesk. This procedure is not intended to replace testing methods and should be used with caution.
