To Set Attenuation in a Point Light or a Spotlight

  1. Click Visualize tab Lights panel Lighting Units drop-down Generic Lighting Units. Find
  2. No lighting units are used and standard (generic) lighting is enabled.

  3. Click View tab Palettes panel Properties. Find
  4. In the drawing, click the light glyph.
  5. In the Properties palette, under Attenuation, choose one of these options:
    • Set Use Limits to Yes

      When you choose this option, also enter the following values in the properties palette:

      • Start Limit Offset. Specifies the point where light starts as an offset from the center of the light. The default is 0.
      • End Limit Offset. Specifies the point where light ends as an offset from the center of the light. No light is cast beyond this point.
    • Select a type of attenuation.
