To Assign a Shape to a Light
Right-click a light in a drawing and choose Properties.
Scroll down the Lighting Properties palette to the Rendered Shadow detail.
Change the
Type
property to
Soft
(sampled).
Change the
Shape
property to an available option.
Available shapes depend upon the type of light:
Spotlight: Rectangular and Disk shapes are available.
Point light and Web light: Linear, Rectangular, Disk, Cylinder, and Sphere shapes are available.
Change the Visible Render property to Yes.
Render the image.
The light is shown in the shape selected.
