Refer to this section for high-level descriptions of tasks used for working with a pressure network in profile view.
Lay out the pressure network in plan view |
Laying out the pressure network in plan view creates the horizontal information for the network and also creates vertical (elevation) information. |
Create an alignment from the pressure network |
Select a path along one pressure network from which to create the alignment. |
Insert the profile view into the drawing |
The Create Alignment From Pressure Network dialog box has an option that creates a profile and profile view. This inserts a profile view with the pressure network parts into the drawing. |
Use the Pressure Network Profile Layout tools to refine the design | Use the tools on the Pressure Network Profile Layout ribbon to refine the profile layout to meet constraints and avoid underground constrictions. |
Perform a depth check | You can check that the pressure network is within the allowed minimum and maximum depths. |
Edit the design in profile view to resolve issues |
You can use the ribbon tools and grips to edit the pressure network in profile view. If you create new parts in profile view, they are created in the model (so they are created in plan view too). However, if you create new parts in plan view, you need to add those new parts to the profile. |
Review and edit the design in plan view |
Editing a part in either plan or profile view edits the model so the change is carried through to both plan and profile views. |
