As well as saving remnants from sheets used, it is possible to import shapes as remnants in DXF format. These can be created on the Opus drawing package within our software.
- In Opus, draw out the shape of the remnant, in this case a piece 1000 x 1000 will be used.
- Click View > Profile and the part will automatically checked for errors.
- Click > Profiler - DXF Export and the DXF Out dialogue box will appear.
- Save the part to a relevant location and click OK.
- The user will be back in Profiler mode and can exit in the normal manner.
- Click Utilities > Sheet Management to and select, from the drop down menu, the material in which the new remnant will be.
- Right click anywhere in the main screen and from the menu that appears, select Importand the Import Remnant dialogue box will appear.
- Browse to the location in which the drawn remnant was saved and select it, click Open and the New Stock Sheet dialogue box will appear.
- This now offers the user to change the name, material and gauge and the quantity of the new remnant. Set as applicable.
- In addition, purchasing information options are available if required.
- Click OK and the remnant is ready to use.
