Object Enabler - AutoCAD / Navis

This topic will assit with the loading of the Object Enabler in the AutoCAD / Navis environment.

Installing the Object Enabler

Once the object enabler had been downloaded from the Autodesk website.

Close any Open Autodesk RealDWG applications i.e. AutoCAD, NavisWorks etc.

Double Left click the file OESetup.exe to start the installation.

Follow the installation dialog instruction.

Once the installation has completed, the installer will have automatically located and registered with all of the installed Autodesk products.

Whenever you open a drawing that includes any Fabrication objects, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, ADT etc. will automatically load the DBX program and the Fabrication objects will now be visible.

Manually Loading the Object Enabler

Note: If the ARX has been previously loaded (the CADmep application executable) you will need to manually load the Object Enabler (DBX).

Start AutoCAD.

Type APPLOAD, browse to the AutoCAD installation folder.

Load the following module:

. MAPcadduct17.dbx (for AutoCAD 2007- 2009)

. MAPcadduct17x64.dbx (for AutoCAD 2008- 2009 64Bit)

. MAPcadduct18.dbx (for AutoCAD 2010- 2012)

. MAPcadduct18x64.dbx (for AutoCAD 2010-2012 64Bit)

If you have registered the enabler and the model does not display in Navis.

Go to Tools Global Options File Readers DWG\DXF\SAT DWG Loader 2010 / 2009
