Installation and Setup

This topic will run through the variant deployments for installing the software.

Local Installation

Click here to complete a Installation from CD-ROM. Recommended for users who do not need to share information between departments or colleagues using the same software. Another common method for this type of installation is for laptop users who are required to work onsite but require the latest database. We have recommendations for how local users could synchronise with the server and create a local "working copy" of the shared istallation for onsite purposes. Please view our Synchronization topic for how this can be achieved.

Network Installation

Recommended for 2+ users where the installation is placed onto a central server for sharing between all users. An administrator login is created using our Configure Users tool and users are created giving particular permissions to the database.

Integrated Installation

This type of deployment is what our suite of software was designed for, having a shared databse across all applications enabling real time costs for drawings, being able to manufacture straight from drawings, to use the estimate drawing as a basis for starting your co-ordination, for pricing what is being manufactured. All this is done from our Integrated solution.
