The Beam Element Count diagnostic is used to display a diagnostic plot of the number of beam elements per curve used to model a cooling channel or runner system. A low beam count may indicate insufficient mesh density and adversely affect solution accuracy.
To access this diagnostic, click

Click Show, to open the Diagnostic Navigator and display the results visually. The Diagnostic Navigator appears on the ribbon on the far right side. Click the arrows to move to the next element with a potential problem.
Dialog elements
- Minimum
- Enter the smallest number of adjacent beam elements that you want to highlight in the diagnostic results.
- Maximum
- Enter the largest number of adjacent beam elements that you want to highlight in the diagnostic results.
