Workflow: Using Revit Server with Autodesk® Bluestreak

When working on a server-based workshared project, you can augment your existing workflow with Autodesk® Bluestreak and the Revit Activity Stream App.

This workflow is available assuming the following conditions:

To use Revit Server with Autodesk® Bluestreak

  1. Create a new local file. If you receive requests to synchronize with the central model as you work in the file, click OK in the Synchronize with Central dialog.
  2. The first time that you work on a file, specify where to share your model activity in the Revit Activity Stream dialog that displays. If your BIM administrator has already created a Autodesk® Bluestreak group, you can select it from the list. Or you can create a new group, opt out of joining a group, or select Not right now. If you select or create a group, the model is associated with it for future saves.
If you are part of a group, notifications display when action is taken on the model.
Note: A disparity between system time and actual time on a computer hosting Revit Server can disrupt or prevent communication with Autodesk® Bluestreak. If a time server is not employed in your Revit Server network, you should monitor the system time on Revit Server computers to prevent this situation.
