Simple dimension line

On the Job Preferences dialog, you can define parameters for dimension lines of simple elements presented in drawings.

Simple elements are basic elements of a structure model (such as beams, columns, windows, and doors) and drawing elements (such as lines, arcs, and circles) defined using AutoCAD.

If you select any option on the Autodesk AutoCAD Structural Detailing elements tab or ACAD elements tab, intersecting these elements (such as walls and beams in a structure model) with an auxiliary line will create dimension lines for them.

When you clear any option on the Autodesk AutoCAD Structural Detailing elements tab or ACAD elements tab, that element type will not be considered as you create dimension lines.

In the upper part of the dialog, specify the type of dimension line:

Note: You can use 2 options to modify dimension lines that you created:

To select all options on either tab, click All. To clear all options, click None.
