Use the options provided on the Staircase landings and flights of stairs tab to define parameters of landings and flights of stairs.
Work with staircase landings:
- To add landings:
- Click Add > and, in the drawing area, click to specify a point at which a landing should be created.
- Click Add on level, and enter the number of the level on which a landing should be added.
- To delete landings, select a landing on the list and click Remove.
To modify landing properties, select a landing from the list and click Properties.The Staircase landing properties dialog displays, where you can modify properties.
Under Flights of stairs is a list of flights that are added to the list automatically after adding landings.
To modify properties for a flight of stairs, select it on the list and click Properties. The Flight of stairs properties dialog displays, where you can modify properties.
At the bottom of the dialog is the Use template selection field, which contains user-defined templates (schemes) of staircases. After you define staircase geometry, you can save the settings by typing a name in the Use template field and clicking Save as template. In the future, after you begin to define a staircase, you can select the name of a saved template so that all its parameters will be applied to the new staircase.
Use the buttons at the bottom of the dialog:
- Apply - after you click this, the staircase defined in the dialog is generated on screen without closing the dialog. This lets you check whether the staircase has been generated correctly.
- OK - click this to generate the defined staircase and close the Staircase dialog.
- Hide - after you click this, the dialog is no longer visible on screen. To restore the dialog display on screen, press Esc.
- Close - click this to close the dialog without generating the staircase.
